The work on MindtheGaps is moving forward

projectslogo.mindthegapsThe work on the project MindtheGaps – “Media Literacy towards Youth Social Inclusion” is moving forward.

One of the first tasks for the creation of a #young media literacy handbook is the conduction of national research on #young people (15-18 years) in the risk of exclusion and their needs in terms of #media literacy, #digital inclusion and #critical thinking. The partners from Bulgaria, Portugal, Turkey and Norway are disseminating questionnaires that also target teachers and school managers who will provide their reflection based on filed experience.

Media Literacy Towards Youth Social Inclusion - Kick-off meeting

projectslogo.mindthegaps“Media Literacy Towards Youth Social Inclusion” Kick-off Transnational Project Meeting took place in Porto, Portugal on 5th and 6th of March 2020, where all project partners actively participated in the establishment of the project’s map for the next 2 years. The meeting was hosted by UPORTO/CIIE in the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Porto.

The meeting started with a welcome note from the coordinator UPORTO/CIIE, followed by a short presentation of all participants, and their organisations. Further overview of the project focused on major operational issues and the necessary steps for the creation of the first intellectual output – Youth Media literacy promising practices handbook. The IO1 is a digital handbook about media literacy and critical thinking practices both in formal and non-formal education and training activities among young people. It will contain European shared resources suggestions, initiatives samples, activates and reflection based on field experience.
