Name: Developing Adult Educators‘ Competences to Promote Learners‘ Lifestyle Entrepreneurship

The main idea of the project is to implement and adapt good practices on Lifestyle Entrepreneurship as a useful alternative to self-employment for adults with fewer opportunities and from disadvantaged backgrounds. The idea of Lifestyle Entrepreneurship is centered on learners’ passions and hobbies. A lifestyle business is one where the owner seeks to make the business successful not only in terms of profitability but also in terms of the ability to avoid social isolation and foster engagement.

The project aims are:

  • To develop the basic and specific adult educators’ competencies working with disadvantaged learners with focus on innovative ways of outreach and delivery of learning activities.
  • To provide necessary knowledge and information to adult learners with fewer opportunities and from disadvantaged background on access to adult learning services and the possibilities for employment on the basis of their lifestyle, abilities and talents.

The methodology of the project is based on the blended learning approach using the reversed/ flipped training method, ICT tools, Open Educational Resources.

The project activities directly involved 90 adult educators and 72 adult learners from disadvantaged backgrounds. After the project end, the partners continued to use and distribute its products increasing the project added value and sustainability.

Know and Can Association offers a course related to Lifestyle Entrepreneurship as a part of its services.

 
  • Strengthened competencies of adult educators by supplying them with innovative and attractive training materials - Curriculum “Promotion of Lifestyle Entrepreneurship for disadvantaged learners” and Guidelines “How to offer lifestyle entrepreneurship for disadvantaged learners using Open Educational Recourses”
  • Enhanced professional development of adult educators by introducing innovative education methods: blended learning, reversed/flipped training, Open education recourses (OER) • Developed OERs tailored to the needs of adult educators in order to support digital integration in learning to reach the learners from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Improved competences of the adult educators: sense of innovation and entrepreneurship; digital competence; social and civic competence; marketing and public relations; assessment and validation of informal and non-formal learning, competence on being an advisor/counselor/facilitator, etc.

Know and Can Association has the pleasure to invite you to take part in a training seminars for adult educartors practitioners in the frame of project ACE - „Developing Adult Educators‘ Competences to Promote Learners‘ Lifestyle Entrepreneurship“ (No.2015-LT01-KA2014-013404) which will be held on the following dates:  23.06.2017; 28.06.2017 and 03.07.2017

During the seminars representatives of the Association will present the project, its specifics and the created products.

The project is financed by Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2 “Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices”, Action “Strategic partnerships for adult education”. The project lifetime is 2 years – September 2015 – September 2017.

A training course under project ACE - „Developing Adult Educators‘ Competences to Promote Learners‘ Lifestyle Entrepreneurship“ (No. 2015-LT01-KA2014-013404, financed by Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2 “Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices”, Action “Strategic partnerships for adult education”) started on November 14th 2016 in Cyprus. The participants in the training are 24 adult educators from the 6 partner countries Lithuania, United Kingdom, Poland, Cyprus and Bulgaria. The partners in the project have prepared 5 educational modules connected with development of lifestyle entrepreneurship skills which will be presented and tested during the meeting. At the end of the course the participants will get Europass certificates.
