First international workshop under project “Future stands in youth hands” (2013-3362/ 001-001 YT7 CAAP7)

hands.for.futureyouth.in.action.enIn connection with the project „FUTURE STANDS IN YOUTH HANDS (H4F - HANDS 4 FUTURE)“ under the Youth in Action Program, in the period between the 4-th and the 7-th of February 2014, an international workshop in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) with first level participants was held. The main topic of the workshop was the establishment of an youth organization.

The second international workshop under project “Future stands in youth hands”(2013-3362/ 001- 001 YT7 CAAP7) was held from the 9-th to the 12-th of April 2014 in Mindelo, Cape Verde. The project is financed by the Youth in Action Programme of the European Commission, Action 3.2- “Cooperation with Other Countries of the World”.

The three month voluntary service of the volunteers under project “The volunteering- new horizons”  (BG13/A2/458/R3) realized by Know and Can

Association together with Consejo de la Juventud de la Rioja, Spain and Dacorum Council for Voluntary Service,  UK and financed through Action 2- EuropeanVoluntary Service of the Youth in Action Programme, has successfully ended.

Between the 25-th and 28-th of March 2014 the first national workshop under project "Future stands in youth hands" took place. It happened at the territory of 2-nd school "Acad. Emillian Stanev". Students from the First English Language School and Second English Language School "Thomas Jefferson" participated in it.

The project is implemented together with organisations from Brasil, Portugal, Cape Verde and Sao Tome and Principe.

According to a national survey in Bulgaria for 2011 about 45 % of the Bulgarian families have access to Internet. The most active Internet users are young people (from 16 to 24 years old) which represent 80 % of all Bulgarians that use Internet. Referring to people aged between 65 and 74 years old, we can see that just 6.2 % of them can work with a computer.

Project Profession Future is successfully going on (BG051PO001-7.0.07-0067-C0001). It is implemented by Know and Can Association together with the British organisation Dacorum, RIO- Sofia and RIO- Smolyan and financed by the Operative Program for Development of the Human Resources and the European Social Fund.

On the 28-th of February 2014 four people were approved to depart to the United Kingdom

On the 28-th of February 2014 four people were approved to depart to the United Kingdom as senior volunteers under the project “Developing Expertise and Skills” (DESK) , 2012-1-GB2-GRU14-085832, which is implemented by Know and Can  Association and Dacorum CVS.

SMAT project - a special award for Good Practice

project.smatOn the 12-th of March 2014, project SMAT- Social Media and Adult Trainings (GRU-12–P–LP –30 –CJ–DE), in which Know and Can Association is a partner, was selected as a Good Practice in the Project proposals, studies and methodologies category.
The award was announced on a ceremony organized by Design for All Foundation in Paris.
