Training in Chepelare

On April 28 and 29 in the heart of the Rhodope Mountain, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXjlvI66TGA was held a training course for teachers working at the Center for Support of Personal Development - Municipal Children's Complex Chepelare.

In this Center, children and young people up to 18 years of age study folk dances, play traditional instruments such as kaval and bagpipe, accordion, piano and guitar, learn to paint, have sports, sports, football and volleyball. In group activities, problems often arise not only from the specifics of the activities, but also from the personality characteristics of the participants. The teachers chose a training module "Who am I", mainly focused on the problems of personal acquaintance and self-knowledge. This module foresees activities whereby teachers can better understand the strengths and weaknesses of learners, learn how to avoid and prevent conflicts, motivation and leadership.
We developed a shortened version, excluding the exercises related to the acquisition of technical skills for taking pictures, and the e-portfolio was only presented with all the opportunities it provides.
The training was extremely active, the activities rise discussions on specific problems of the Center, the personal qualities of the trainers, ideas and guidelines for working with the students outside the professional orientation of the courses.
The region of the Rhodopes is definitely suffering from the consequences of its geographical situation and the seasonal nature of employment - unemployment and labor migration, demographic collapse, but the teachers were extremely pleased with the activities presented and are confident that using them with their students will be better able to work with them and prepare them for their future realization. The techniques presented will help them to uncover their strengths and weaknesses, make real judgments, thereby protecting them from disappointments and the potential danger of becoming NEETs.
We as trainers were very pleased with the implementation of the project results, albeit not in full, with another target group, with an adapted program that we liked and hopefully would be useful. Certainly, the project can also be used with other target groups, not just with the primary defined target, which gives it added value.
