Know and Can Association is very happy to announce the start of our first project under European Solidarity Corps Programme- Make a Difference (2018-1-BG01-ESC12-061140)
The main idea of the project is to promote solidarity through activities that will be carried out by volunteers, such as: work with people with disabilities, work with children and work related to the preservation of cultural heritage.
All planned activities are directly related to the promotion of solidarity, as well as the support of volunteers through their personal and professional growth, as well as active citizenship in the following areas: culture, education and training, skills development and youth work.
The target groups in the project are the children from the daily care center of Know and Can Association, people with disabilities in Caritas, people from the Danube Region and children from the Children’s Complex in Chepelare.
The main objectives of the project are volunteer work in four main fields:
- Culture: 6 people will volunteer in the Ruse (a Bulgarian town) in activities related to development of the cultural heritage of the Danube region and preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of the region.
-Education and training: 4 people will volunteer in the office of the Know and Can Association and in the Daily Care Center of the Association working on projects for social Inclusion and non-formal training and education for young people and people with social problems. They will also work with children developing their creative skills and helping in their educational process.
- Skills development: 6 people will volunteer in Children's Complex in Chepelare Municipality: they will work with children in the field of folk dance, art, culture and sports. The volunteers will help the children develop different competences and help them in their future realization in the professional, social and cultural field.
- Youth work: 4 people will carry out volunteer activities in Caritas – Bulgaria: the will work on creative activities with children with physical and mental disabilities. These volunteers will help people with physical and mental problems in the process of their reintegration in the society.
