A training course under project “ Math & Motivation ” was held from 4th till 10th March 2018 in Pontedera, Italy. The project is financed under Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 2 (No. 2017-1-BG01-KA201-036220). The event was hosted by the Italian project partner Istituto Statale E.Montale and was attended by 32 participants from the 7 partner countries (Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, Poland, Croatia, Romania and Portugal).
The training had several purposes::
- Presentation of the Collaborative methodology and equipping the participants with profound knowledge and competencies in using the new method
- Elaboration, improvement and discussion of the curriculum for improving math, science and literacy skills, which is an integral part of the Toolkit for teachers
- Planning and detailed elaboration of the schedule of the national cascaded trainings that will take place in each partner country and will involve at least 70 teachers
- Sharing good practices, methods and successful teaching techniques
- Discussion of the design of the e-tools
The training was very successful and the participants were familiarized with the innovative collaborative methodology and discussed the different ways in which it could be applied in their daily work with students. Based on the new methodology, the participants made improvements and completed the curriculum for improving math, science and literacy skills, which will later be included in the Toolkit for teachers, one of the main project products.
