DIME partners meeting in Uppsala, Sweden

After one and a half year of remote work and online meetings, due to the antiepidemic travel and social restrictions, the partners of DIME project finally had the opportunity to meet in person for a transnational project meeting. The event was kindly hosted by the Swedish partner MIR Akademien in Uppsala, Sweden on 13th and 14th September 2021.

The partners meeting was focused on discussions on the work done so far in the implementation of WP2 Common report from the analysis of obstacles for employment of migrants and ethical minorities from the perspective of employers and also the WP3 Development of methodology and training material for employers for promoting diversity management and inclusion at the workplace in SMEs and NGOs. Some minor modifications in the Common report were agreed by the partners, aimig to make the report more attractive and useful for the stakeholders at national level. IMG 20210913 145033

Another core part of the meeting was dedicated to the presentation of the draft structure of the Methodology for diversity management - contents, design and visualisation. A draft structure of the training course was also presented by the WP leaders MIR and Know and Can. The partners organised productive discussions on the proposed contents and materials and established a common groundwork for their future development.

The next item on the agenda was the international facilitators training, which if no new Covid-19 comes, will take place in Palermo, Italy as a part of the project WP4: Training of facilitators. The partners defined the details for two possible scenarios (online or F2F implementation) – structure, activities, feedback forms, recruitment of the SMEs and NGOs participating in pilot activities and discussed the structure of the national reports needed after.

At the end of the event, the partners dedicated time to discuss the project technical management and implementation - financial issues, dissemination and visibility, evaluation and quality assurance.

The next face-to-face DIME meeting was planned for 19th May 2022 in Palermo, Italy, immediately after the international facilitators training planned for 16th-18th May.
