Two members of Know and Can Association took part in the training course “Euro(EVS)Med Learning”, which was held between the 7-th and 15-th of November 2014 in Tukums, Latvia. The training was organized under Key Action 1 of the Erasmus + programme and was attended by 25 youth workers from Bulgaria, Latvia, Italy, United Kingdom, France, Croatia, Hungary, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco and Lebanon.
The topics of the training included: Values and conception of the European Voluntary Service, Mentorship, Youthpass, Cultural differences in the EuroMed partnership in the field of EVS, Responsibilities of the different parties under EVS projects, etc. Apart from this the participants had the opportunity to visit a local youth centre and a social centre for disabled people, in which were hosted EVS volunteers from different countries. The representatives of partner organisations discussed their ideas for implementing EVS projects with the participation of European and Mediterranean countries.
