Know and Can started to work on the “12 Habits for Success” project

12 habits for successIn October 2019 Know and Can Association started working on the project “12 Habits for Success”, № 2019-1-PT01-KA201-061277. The project partners are the organizations: 119 Secondary School “Academician Mihail Arnaudov” – Bulgaria; European School of Brussels IV (Laeken) – Belgium; Scoala Primara Carol I – Romania; MAKE IT PEDAGOGICAL – Portugal; IS “Duca Abruzzi – Libero Grassi” – Italy; Escola Basica Goncalo Mendes da Maia – Portugal; Agrupamento de Escolas Sophia de Mello Breyner – Portugal.

The project perspective is to support the work of teachers and other educational experts in the partnership countries and also across Europe. The other vision is to provide the students with appropriate conditions to achieve sustainable learning outcomes, which will lead to their successful transition to upper academic levels and in long terms perspective to better personal and professional development. The target group of the project are students of 6-10; 10-14; 14-16; 16-19 years old.
The kick-off partners meeting was organised on 28th and 29th October 2019 in the wonderful city of Maia, Portugal. The event was a gfreat opportunity for the participants to present themselves and their institutions, as well to get to know with their colleagues.

In the course of 26 months 6 schools and 2 training providers from Portugal, Bulgaria, Belgium, Italy and Romania will combine efforts to create a unique and innovative educational tool aiming to improve the competences of teachers to enhance their students’ motivation and support them in their personal growth, in developing soft skills (problem solving, critical thinking, team work, confidence, resilience, etc.) as well as in building self-confidence.

On the meeting were discussed in details the project idea, objectives, workplan, financial, administrative and contractual rules; the partners created expert teams and established the deadlines for the activities to be done in the next 6 months. Last but not least, the partners discussed and adopted strategies for ensuring the sustainability of the project results as well as their proper dissemination among the iwde public.

The next partners meeting will be held in Sofia, Bulgaria on 23rd and 24th April 2020.
