The official testing of CIT4VET products in Bulgaria started on 25th June 2020 and lasted for 6 weeks - until August 7th, 2020. The online platform was tested by more than 40 VET representatives and trainers who provided useful feedback both for the strengths and benefits of the platform and recommendations for its improvement.
The results from the evaluation survey show that CIT4VET products were highly assessed and well accepted by the testers. 95,1% of the respondents think that the Online Database has increased their knowledge about existing educational tools and resources in the field of intercultural competences. Exactly the same percentage (95,1%) of users stated that the tools and information provided in the CIT4VET products will help them be interculturally more aware and competent and will help them respond better to the needs of a culturally diverse groups of learners.
Even though some users assessed negatively parts of the platform, these comments concern almost entirely the technical functionalities, which is natural, having in mind that the platform still has to be improved and finalized.
The received feedback and conclusions from the pilot testing of CIT4VET platform among VET trainers and VET representatives in Bulgaria certainly show that the products are accepted very well by both target groups. 100% of the users stated they will use CIT4VET products in their future work, 97,6% will recommend the CIT4VET products to colleagues and friends who work in a multicultural environment and 95,1% are very satisfied by the overall quality of all products.
The biggest part of the testers stated that the topic of intercultural education and skills is not yet widespread and included in the Bulgarian educational system, so they appreciate very much the opportunity to test and use CIT4VET products in their future work. All testers said that they will use the platform in the future and will recommend it to other colleagues which is a clear sign that the products have the necessary high quality.
Regarding improvements, most of the feedback concerns the functionality, design and navigation through the platform. Some users suggested to add more materials in the platform in the future, as well as offer it in more languages.
